Carol Stream, IL -- June 30, 2008. C. Berger Group, Inc.(CBG), one of the nation’s oldest and largest library consulting and staffing firms, recently announced that Cynthia (Cindy) Hill received the prestigious Karen J. Switt Leadership Award at the Special Libraries Association (SLA)  99th annual conference in Seattle. CBG sponsored the prize for the eighteenth year for the Leadership and Management Division (LMD). Joel Patrick Berger, CBG President, presented the citation to Ms. Hill during the LMD business meeting on June 16, 2008. The Award, instituted in 1988, recognizes a member's significant contributions to leadership in the profession of information management over a five year period. CBG funds a monetary gift and the LMD provides an etched crystal sculpture to the recipient.

""This is another feather in Cindy’s career hat,” said Mr. Berger.  “It acknowledges her dedication to the profession and her accomplishments as a leader. Our Division is especially proud to honor one of its own who is a natural-born leader, a tireless advocate of the profession, professional, and is the consummate career example."  Said Ms. Hill, “I continue to be overwhelmed every time I think about being awarded this recognition as I’ve admired and worked to emulate previous recipients.  I’m very honored and humbled by this recognition.”  Ms. Hill was selected because of her life-long commitment to learning, innovation, and sharing, both within the Leadership and Management Division but also the Special Libraries Association as a whole.  Her achievements include elected positions as SLA President, SLA Director, SLA Secretary, numerous Chapter and Division positions and various Association level committees.  She is a recent winner of the H.W.
