C. BERGER GROUP SPONSORS KAREN J. SWITT AWARD AT SLA CONFERENCE IN TORONTO

Carol Stream, IL -- June 6, 2005. C. Berger Group, Inc.(CBG), one of the nation’s oldest and largest library consulting and staffing firms, recently announced that Jane I. Dysart received the Karen J. Switt Leadership Award at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) 96th annual conference in Toronto. CBG sponsored the prize for the fifteenth year for the Leadership and Management Division(LMD). Joel Patrick Berger, CBG President, presented the citation to Ms. Dysart during the LMD business meeting on June 6, 2005. The Award, instituted in 1988, recognizes a member's significant contributions to leadership in the profession of information management over a five year period. CBG funds a monetary gift and LMD provides an etched crystal sculpture to the recipient.

"This is a special 'feather' in Jane's career hat," said Mr. Berger. "It acknowledges her dedication to the profession and her innumerable mentoring activities. Our Division is especially proud to honor one of its own who is a natural-born teacher, a tireless advocate of self-improvement and continuing education, and the consummate career coach."

Ms. Dysart was selected because of her pioneering spirit, demonstrated leadership skills, willingness to share her expertise, contributions to LMD and never-ending belief in the library profession. Her achievements include book and article publications, elected positions as SLA President, Board Director and Chapter Cabinet Chair, establishing and managing international information-related conferences, appointments to academic advisory boards, teaching assignments and receiving such honors as SLA's John Cotton Dana Award and

being named an SLA Fellow. Jane is a principal of Dysart & Jones Associates, a library and information management consulting firm. Prior to founding that firm, she was employed as Manager, Information Resources at the Royal Bank of Canada for 17 years and served 2 years as a librarian for the Canadian Standards Association. Jane Dysart earned both a BS and an MLS from the University of Toronto and received its Alumni Jubilee Award in 1997.

In addition to presenting the award, Joel Berger was the facilitator for the LMD mentoring breakfast and also participated on a panel entitled, "You and Your Recruiter, Part 2", in which he offered career guidance and employment market advice to job seekers. He shared exhibit booth duty with Carol A. Berger, CBG founder and Manager, Marketing Communications in the INFO EXPO.
