Client Services Specialist

Position Profile:

This high profile position handles recruiting, placements and marketing. The Client Services Specialist (CSS) also posts positions on numerous list serves and job boards. When doing placement, the CSS places field workers and serves as client contact for assignments. The CSS also maintains department files and represents CBG in a public relations capacity.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage and execute a proactive recruitment program focusing on attracting and interviewing field workers.
Manage and execute a proactive retention program.
Maintain, with help of Manager, Client Services; CSD records, files, and library.
Participate in interviews with potential candidates and provide assessments accordingly.
Explain services, rates and procedures to potential clients. Generate job orders from clients and identify CBG field workers with appropriate skills for the assignment.
Maintain open lines of communication with clients and field workers.
Maintain contents of client and field worker files.
Assist in executive search assignments.
Attend networking and other professional meetings.

Qualifications:

BA or BS required; ALA/MLS, LTA is desirable.
Two/three years of experience in a library; staffing industry or human resources experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of libraries, especially technical terms and jargon, is desirable.
Excellent written and oral (primarily telephone) communication skills, personal warmth and empathy required.
Ability to set priorities and work well under pressure is essential.
Hands-on PC experience required. (MS Office including Access and Internet required, Front Page experience a plus)
Understanding of Chicago area businesses and industry, geographic locations, and familiarity with public transportation is highly desirable.
