Our client a public library in the Chicago Metropolitan area has retained us to help them fill the position of CyberNavigator

The CyberNaviagor is a newly created position to work in a revolutionary new Young Adult space and it's focus is connecting YA patrons to digital media creation tecnhology and resouces.  The CyberNavigator will assist other members of the staff in maintaining and monitoring technology equipment and other resources within the new space.  The CyberNavigator should be technologically fluent in both Windows and Mac operating systems and familiar with digital media creation software.

Duties will include monitoring and checking out hardware to YA patrons and mentors (including digital cameras and laptops); troubleshooting technology issues; monitoring collections in the new space; providing service to YA patrons at the help desk and monitoring self-check out machines.

The qualified candidate should have an LTA certificate or equivalent experience/education; be organized and detail-oriented and available to work some evening and/or weekend hours.

Starting salary is competitive and it is based on a 10 month contract.
